Family Sneak Peek {Greenwood, SC Photographer}

i wanted to share a quick sneak peek of a beautiful family i photographed two weeks ago.  i’ve had the pleasure of working with this family numerous times over the years and have truly enjoyed watching their kiddos grow.  🙂

Father Daughter Dance 2012 {Greenwood, SC Photographer}

on tuesday i was able to once again photograph my favorite event of the year…the cambridge academy father daughter dance!  i have been photographing this event since it started and i absolutely love it.  the girls are filled with such anticipation all day long, waiting for their big “date night” with their daddy’s or special friend.   at dance time the girls come in to the school beaming…and dad’s are grinning from ear to ear.  this event is put on by dedicated parents who spend all day decorating and then stay late at night to tear it all down again.  every bit of hard work is worth it to watch those girls and dad’s dance the night away.  i hope you enjoy these photos from the night 🙂

Class Art Project-Part 1 {Greenwood, SC Lifestyle Photographer}

last week i had the privilege of helping out with the Cambridge Academy 3rd grade art project.  every year, each class makes an art project to be sold at the annual cambridge academy auction.  this year, the 3rd grade is making a clay pottery bowl.  a very talented artist volunteered her time to help with the project and she made sure that the kids were involved not only in constructing the project, but also in every step of the decision making progress.  first they voted on the type of bowl they wanted to make….one with a stand or without.  then they voted on whether it would be striped or swirly.  next came the decision on whether it would be one color or two.  then what color(s) would it be?  it was fun to be there to document the whole process and to watch a lump of clay be turned in to a beautiful art piece by 13 pairs of tiny hands.  this is only part one of the project.  in about a month the class will get to see the bowl after it’s been fired and then paint it.   i’ll be there for that fun too so stay tuned…this is going to be one beautiful art project! kids sitting at table, class art projectkids voting, girl smilingkids rolling out clayrolling out claygirl holding clay, boy rolling clayhands rolling claygirls working with clay in bowlkids watching teacher, boy smilinghands making clay base, class smiling

Cutest Little Guy {Greenwood, SC Baby Photograper}

this sweet little fellow is named guy…therefore it’s only appropriate that his blog post be titled “cutest little guy” :-).  he came to visit me on a cold, rainy saturday and he surely brightened up my day.  he’s just 12 weeks old and has the most gorgeous head of black hair.  and he’s got the most adorable grin you’ve ever seen.  it was a pleasure to photograph him.  i hope you enjoy these sneak peeks as much as i do!baby collage

Just The Two Of Us {Greenwood, SC Photographer}

as i am continuing to post my favorite images from 2011, i’m noticing that i have a lot of images featuring two people.  it might be siblings, friends, couples, a parent and child, etc.  but there is something about an image of two people sharing a moment that makes it magical.  so i decided that today’s “favorites” post would just be about pairs.  i hope you enjoy these images as much as i do 🙂  and if you want to see my favorite newborn images from 2011, they’re right here!
