welcome to palmetto posh photography!

Thanks for visiting Palmetto Posh Photography (P3 for short)! P3 offers contemporary portrait and lifestyle photography in the Upstate of South Carolina. I'm Amanda and that's me over there on the left. Aside from being a photographer, I'm also a wife, mother, cancer survivor, golf addict, volleyball coach, and I have a passion for all things pink!

I love what I do & take pride in being known for capturing my clients personalities, not just their images. If you're looking for a boutique photography experience that's all about you, then you're at the right place! It would be my pleasure to work with you and your family to create memories in print that will bring a smile to your face each time you see them.

Palmetto Posh Photography also does select sports, event, and commercial photography. Please contact me for more information.

My World/Your World- Black & White {Greenwood, SC Photographer}

So as you may know I’ve challenged myself with several projects this year.  This is the first of 12 monthly projects I’ll be doing with my fellow photographer friend, Tracy Tisdale, of Tracy Tisdale Photography.  Tracy and I met on 4 The Love of Focus (which I must say is one of my favorite places on the web) and paired up to take on a “My World/Your World” project.  Each month we are assigned a topic and we each photograph our take on the theme.  This month’s theme is “black & white”.

check out the black and white kicks I think hold so much personality and compare them to the image Tracy photographed.  One theme, two very different takes!  Wondering what Tracy’s image is?  Head over to her blog and find out the answer…

The Bloom Forum Project 52/Week 2 {Greenwood, SC Photographer}

This week’s theme for my Project 52 on the Bloom Forum is “little”.  I thought for many days about how to portray “little” and then one morning it came to me in the most unexpected way.  My daughter and i were cuddling on the couch when she put her hand in mine and i thought “look how little her hand is”.  now it’s not nearly as little as it used to be but still, i quickly grabbed my camera and began shooting.  here are the results…enjoy 🙂
and don’t forget to go see what the other fabulous photographers in my group have done with this theme.  you can continue your tour by visiting christina anglum, katy|houston texas photographer.

Sunday Snip-It {Greenwood, SC Lifestyle Photography}

So…I’ve decided I want to get back to my “lifestyle photography” roots.  lifestyle photography is where this whole photo journey began for me and as my business has grown, i have somehow gotten away from what brought me to it in the first place.  but that’s changing!  the fabulous tampa photographer, stacey woods, has inspired me to get back to lifestyle photography, even if it’s just for my own family.  and yesterday i did just that.

this is a snip-it of a sunday morning pillow (turned tickle) fight that shows the fun-loving relationship between a father and his little girl.  the images certainly aren’t technically perfect…but they’re perfect at showcasing a family bond that i don’t ever want to forget…and after all, that’s what lifestyle photography is all about.

The Bloom Forum-Project 52/Week 1 {Greenwood, SC Photographer}

I’m excited to announce that I am taking on a few new photography projects in 2011.  and this post starts my “project 52” on the bloom forum.  i’m teamed up with 14 other photographers from bloom and each week we’ll pick a theme, photograph our interpretation of the theme and then blog it every sunday. the fun thing is seeing all the different interpretations of the same theme.  we’ll each link to a fellow ‘togs post so all you have to do is click the links and follow the circle!

so what’s this week’s theme you ask…self portraits!  we thought it would be fun to start off our project 52 by giving you a visual of each person behind the camera.  and let me tell you, this was no easy task…it’s hard being on both sides of the lens!  but it was fun.

like most women i wear many hats.  that of wife, mother, photographer, friend, volunteer, daughter, girl scout leader, coach, event chair and the list goes on and on.  so with that in mind, i give you my self portrait; titled “hats”.

Vroom, Vroom {Greenwood, SC Photographer}

usually i photograph people…babies, kids & families are my regular clientele but every once in a while i get someone who wants something different…and these motorcycle photos are a great example of that. this baby isn’t soft and squishy like most of the ones i shoot, but it’s loved for sure!

Looking Back {2010}/ Greenwood, SC Photographer

As the final hours of 2010 approach, I can’t help but think what a wonderful year it is has been!  My business is strong, my family is happy and healthy (well…mostly) and we have been able to do some fun and exciting things throughout the year.  I thought it would be fun to revisit the session’s i’ve had this year and pick out some of my favorite images.  this is just the first post, of what i hope will be many, of my favorites from 2010.  there are so many sessions to go through and so many great images to remember!  here’s the top {not quite} 10 (because i could only fit 8 in this storyboard :-))…of 2010.  enjoy!
