recently i had the pleasure of traveling with my family to the beautiful island of roatan, honduras.  roatan is small bay island off the main land of honduras.  it is known for it’s barrier reef which happens to be the 2nd largest in the world, second only to the “great barrier reef” in australia.  so naturally roatan is a hot spot for divers and snorkelers alike.  but aside from the underwater scenes, roatan has much to offer for those seeking rest and relaxation.  the white sandy beaches of west bay and the crystal clear blue water surrounding the island are just two of my favorite things about roatan.

while roatan frequently features perfect sunny days; we were there when hurricane ernesto rolled across the island.  and although the hurricane didn’t do much for my tan, it did allow me to produce some amazing images.  below are some of the photographs i was able to capture during both sunny, and rain laden days.  i hope you enjoy them.
